Aztec Empire – An alliance of three Nahua city-states: Mexico-Tenochtitlan, Tetzcoco, and Tlacopan. These three city-states ruled the area in and around the Valley of Mexico from 1428 until the combined forces of the Spanish conquistadors and their native allies who ruled under Hernan Cortes defeated the them in 1521.

Best Life Score (BLS) – A score that indicated how closely an individuals life choices and decisions mirror those suggested by their A.I. worn device. Part of the Best Life Economy system implemented by the Coven of Shiva.

Black Rite, The – 1. A ritual that grants a form of immortality. 2. Ninth song on the album The Fall of the Son by The Castillion.

Charles V – Holy Roman Emperor and Archduke of Austria from 1519 to 1556, King of Spain (as Charles I) from 1516 to 1556, King of Sicily and Naples from 1516 to 1554, and also Lord of the Netherlands and titular Duke of Burgundy (as Charles II) from 1506 to 1555. He was heir to and then head of the rising House of Habsburg.
Classical Elements (Four Elements) – Typically refers to earth, water, fire, air and (later) aether which were proposed to explain the nature and complexity of all matter in terms of simpler substances.
Conquistador – A Spanish or Portuguese conqueror who explored, traded with, and colonized parts of the Americas, Africa, Asia, and Oceania during the Age of Discovery.
Cortes, Hernan – A Spanish conquistador, military commander, explorer, captain general, and writer who led an expedition that caused the fall of the Aztec Empire and brought large portions of what is now mainland Mexico under the rule of the King of Castile in the early 16th century.
Coven of Shiva – A group formed hundreds of years ago by the wives of the reborns to counter the Castillion and his ilk. After ousting the Castillion from power, the Coven implements the Best Life Economy system.
Cuitlahuac – Former Aztec emperor, now the immortal son of the original Castillion.
